Community Standards

Like the community in which you live, the Boy Scout TOR Chat community works best when everyone follows some basic standards of conduct.
First, some common sense guidelines:
- Don’t give out personal information while chatting. Boy Scout TOR is not responsible for any problems resulting from the exchange of personal information.
- Don’t accept files unless you’re absolutely certain of their integrity. Boy Scout TOR is not responsible for any viruses or corruption of data resulting from file exchange.
As a member of Boy Scout TOR you are liable for all activities and conduct of all usernames on your account. Listed below are some, though not all, activities that may result in the termination of your account.
- Harassing, abusive or threatening behavior toward other chatters.
- Transmission via Boy Scout TOR Chat of any content that is unlawful; harmful; threatening; harassing; defamatory; or racially, religiously or ethnically hateful, including threats pertaining to sexual orientation.
- Impersonation of any other chatter or Boy Scout TOR representative.
- Use of any unauthorized scripts or applications that cause unacceptable disruptions to Boy Scout TOR Chat software.
- Transmission of any advertising, promotional materials, or other solicitations not authorized by Boy Scout TOR.
- Transmission of mass instant message or use of mass IM programs.
- Violation of any local, state, national, or international laws.
- Use of offensive language, names and/or avatars in the family community.
- Discussions of an adult nature in the family community.
Boy Scout TOR will rely on a combination of logged warnings, penalties and guide and member information to determine member standing.
Boy Scout TOR reserves the right to monitor some, all, or none of the chat rooms at any time. Boy Scout TOR may revoke membership privileges and/or take any other appropriate measures to enforce these guidelines if violations are brought to our attention. Boy Scout TOR reserves the right to revoke membership without warning or cause. Revoked or cancelled memberships are not entitled to refunds of any kind.
